Price and evidence scope

Reviewed 17 August 2026. Prices shown in the plan cards are loaded live from /api/plans; the checkout recalculates the selected period and outlet count. Static search metadata does not repeat a paid amount that could become stale.

The free edition claim is tied to stable release v1.3.0, the public AGPL-3.0-only repository and project governance. Optional cloud descriptions come from the edition documentation and current plan service. No hosted-cloud acceptance test was executed in this evidence review.

Eight checks before choosing a paid POS plan

  1. Run representative sales, returns, purchases, stock corrections, reports and day close in the free local edition first.
  2. Write the exact cloud outcome required: off-site backup, cross-till or branch sync, remote dashboard, priority support or branding.
  3. Confirm the live first-outlet, additional-outlet, monthly and yearly totals for the intended branch count.
  4. List hardware, payment-provider, connectivity, implementation, migration, training and support costs separately.
  5. Test the exact network-loss, sync-conflict, failed-payment, failed-backup and device-replacement procedures before rollout.
  6. Verify permissions, data flow, retention, export, support ownership and incident contacts in writing.
  7. Read the Terms and Subscription and Refund Policy that apply at payment time.
  8. Approve the plan only after the recurring service solves a measured problem that the local edition alone does not solve.

What this review does not prove

It does not prove cloud uptime, sync conflict handling, hosted recovery, load capacity, data residency, a service level, payment-terminal compatibility or country-specific compliance. Request and run the acceptance evidence your deployment needs.

Payment-security responsibility

PCI SSC says payment security depends on people, process and technology. Map the merchant, payment provider, terminal vendor, remote support and POS responsibilities instead of assuming a software subscription covers the whole payment environment.

Pricing questions

How much does Posnic POS cost?

The local Community Edition is free and open source without a trial timer. Optional paid cloud and white-label plan prices load live above from the public plan API.

Does the free POS edition include hardware?

No physical hardware is included. The business supplies and tests its computer, receipt printer, scanner, drawer, scale, payment terminal, network and power protection.

What costs should a business compare beyond a POS subscription?

Compare hardware, payment-provider charges, connectivity, implementation, data migration, training, support, backup storage, device replacement and exit or export work in addition to software fees.

Has Posnic Cloud been acceptance-tested in this evidence review?

No. The review verified live plan data and documented edition boundaries, but it did not run a hosted-cloud functional, branch-sync, load, recovery or service-level acceptance test.

Where are cancellation and refund terms?

Read the current Subscription and Refund Policy and Terms before payment. Ask for written clarification when a requirement is not covered.

Customization and enterprise

Every business is different, and we are happy to hear from all of them, single shop or large chain. We build custom features, white-label and private customizations, integrations with accounting and e-commerce systems, data migration from your current software, self-hosted cloud, priority support agreements and commercial licences. Tell us what you need and we will respond within one business day. Want it in writing? Get a free quote, or write directly to info@posnic.com. Fair usage applies to cloud plans; exceptionally heavy accounts may be asked to move to an enterprise plan (see terms).
