Government record

DPIIT Certificate DIPP159427, issued 8 March 2024, identifies Posnic Innovations Private Limited and states an incorporation date of 21 July 2016. Its Startup India recognition period ended 20 July 2026, so we present it as a historical record, not a current recognition badge.

Source and licence

The desktop application is published in the official source repository under AGPL-3.0-only. The optional cloud service remains a separate paid product.

Named public maintainer

The stable v1.3.0 release commit records Sridhar Bala as its author. The project governance document says there is currently one effective maintainer and explains how contributors can earn review and maintenance roles.

Stable release provenance

Version v1.3.0 is tied to commit b531ef4. The download page publishes exact assets, sizes, SHA-256 checksums and signing limitations.

Verified test of the current artifact-provenance pipeline

On 24 August 2026, GitHub Actions run 32729980125 created a public SLSA provenance attestation before publishing prerelease v1.5.0-beta.624. The attestation binds the beta.yml workflow, refs/heads/main, commit eee9d4c502b83df56ea677262867f7fe5f7411eb and the release checksum subjects.

The checksum list and attestation contain exactly eight installable Windows, macOS and Linux packages. The release also carries updater manifests and blockmaps, which are delivery plumbing rather than package subjects. We downloaded the 167,179,311-byte Windows installer, reproduced SHA-256 2b49057c437791879a9f88557cc459d5062d3e60ba1b0282582688f3852c09b7, and gh attestation verify accepted its GitHub OIDC and Sigstore record for this repository, workflow, ref, commit and run.

This is prerelease pipeline evidence, not the stable download. It does not provide code signing, notarization, reproducible-build proof, a security audit, an endorsement, adoption evidence or a finding that the software is suitable for a particular shop. Stable v1.3.0 predates this workflow and has no GitHub artifact attestation.

Correction record

17 August 2026: We removed an image previously labelled as Posnic's incorporation certificate because visual review showed that it belonged to another company. We also replaced a generic Startup India logo with the actual Posnic DPIIT certificate and clearly stated its ended recognition period. The unsupported team-size, customer-footprint and historical milestone claims from the earlier About page were removed.
